David Bowie’s Caribbean island retreat has apparently been sold to an unknown buyer, according to a recent report from Domain. Rock legend Bowie died at the age of 69 at the start of this month.
Bowie once used the island villa as his private getaway home throughout the 1990’s, with its own personal pool and wet bar.
Recently on the market for an asking price of $20M, the five bedroom mansion is now under-offer – suggesting it has been snapped up by a savvy buyer who understands the potential appreciation value now the Bowie has passed.
The Indonesian inspired villa home on the private island of Mustique was built as Bowie’s private getaway in 1992. The lush house overlooks the Caribbean.
