Phnom Penh to Poipet Railway nears completion
Phnom Penh will soon be linked via rail to Poipet town on the Thai-Cambodian border. According to local authorities, this section of rail track is is due to be completed by the end of 2016.
Now, only 6 kilometers of railway track is needed to complete the connection.
Once Phnom Penh is connected to Poipet through this railway, direct access from Phnom Penh to Bangkok will be possible via train. Read about other new rail developments in the ASEAN region.
