Oknha Theng Bunma Passes Away in Phnom Penh
Neak Oknha Theng Bunma, founder of Thai Boon Roong Group, passed away last night at the age of 75 - on June 17 2016 at 12.45pm in a hospital in Phnom Penh by natural causes, according to a Freshnews report today.
Oknha Theng Bunma was well known as one of the โfour tigersโ of the Cambodian economy after the fall of the Khmer Rouge, between the 1980s-2000s, and was heavily involved in the real estate and development industries across the nation.
Born in Thailand, Oknha Theng Bunma was the first president of Cambodia's Chamber of Commerce. He also owned the Intercontinental Hotel in Phnom Penh and Rasmei Kampuchea Newspaper.
The Thai Boon Roong Group, of which Oknha Theng Bunma was founder, is currently developing the 133 story Thai Boon Roong Twin Trade Center in Phnom Penh, located next to Nagaworld.
